MAGPIES: Math & Girls + Inspiration = Success is a program for 4th-8th grade girls and gender-minority students run by faculty and undergraduate students at Bard College. We provide math enrichment and mentoring in a supportive and community-based learning environment. We teach logic-based puzzles and games through hands-on activities and small group work. We welcome and affirm trans and gender-diverse students to participate in MAGPIES.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide an opportunity for girls in 4th through 9th grade to develop and enhance their problem–solving skills and become independent and confident thinkers. Activities are both accessible and open-ended, providing engaging challenges for all ages.
